Marcus has over 30 years of professional experience in the USA, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. His diverse background covers a wide range of industries, such as Banking, Real Estate, Telecom, Pharma, Consumer Electronics, Data Storage, Medical Equipment and Services, IT Outsourcing, Consulting, among several others.

Prior to founding TRIARII, Marcus worked for successful start-ups and industry-leading multinationals such as Philips (Netherlands), Iron Mountain (USA), Nortel Networks (Canada), JVC (Japan), Novo Nordisk (Denmark), Mobitel/Portugal Telecom (Portugal), Outeiro das Brisas (Italy/Brazil), among others.

With TRIARII, Marcus has led several management consulting projects with middle-market companies in Brazil and the USA, in the fields of restructuring & turnaround, performance improvement, corporate transactions, and financing. More recently, he has successfully completed Mekal’s business restructuring & turnaround, where he acted as Chief Restructuring Officer for 13 months and successfully merged the company with DOCOL Metais Sanitários.

His specialties include ROIC improvement, strategic management process, chapter 11 restructuring, M&A and divestitures, post-merger integration, financial modeling, working capital management, evaluation and funding of expansion plans, ERP system implementation, US-GAAP and IFRS standards, and prevention & detection of financial frauds.

He is the founder and Managing Partner of TRIARII Academy, a world-class leadership program composed of 18 inter-connected courses, designed to transform participants into effective change agents, capable of helping firms maximize their value. With the use of case studies, participants learn critical business concepts while analyzing problems, exercising judgement, and making difficult decisions.

Marcus has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Emmanuel College (Boston, MA, USA), a Post-Graduation Degree in Forensic Accounting Investigation from Northeastern University (Boston, MA, USA), and is currently pursuing an LLM in Corporate Law from Insper (São Paulo, Brazil). He has attended a wide variety of finance, accounting, and strategy courses all over the world.

His hobbies are long-distance walking, reading and writing, old-world and natural wines, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Ashtanga Yoga.
